Coven

My latest cross-stitch creation inspired by none other than those exceptionally gifted girls of Miss Robichaux's Academy! I received quite a bit of interest in this beauty after posting a picture of it on IG and now two of its sister clones are on their way to loving new homes!

  1. Wow! You´re really gifted yourself (on a total differente sense, of course, ahaha). Really love your project ♥
Ans in relation to Coven, I have a crush! What´s your favourite character? I am very curious about it :)

    1. Oh thank you! ^^, It's hard to choose just one character so i'm going to have to cheat and say two names which are Delphine LaLaurie and Marie Laveau, purely on the basis that I've always been interested in their legend, and I think Angela Bassett is doing an amazing job of portraying Marie, she's such a bad-ass! One thing I do have a problem with is the way they're making Delphine look like such a pussy, you would think she'd be more of a dominant figure considering the horrors she committed in her past! Maybe her dark side will rear its head soon!

  2. Gorgeous, Sandy! :) I haven't watched any of the 'American Horror Story' series as yet, but I must admit that 'Coven' is really tempting me. Can you jump into 'Coven' without having seen the first two?

    1. You sure can! Each season has a stand-alone story line so you can watch them any which way you like! I'd recommend starting with Coven, then Murder House and then Asylum.. Asylum is my least favourite so far, I like it, but I like the other two more!

  3. I haven't watched any of Coven, aside from a trailer for the show. It looks like something different! You must be enjoying the show to have been inspired to cross-stitch this. You did a nice job! I like the lace. I don't think I'd realized that you did cross-stitch. Do you have any other cross-stitch creations online?

    1. Yes! I have posted a few picture of past creations on the blog! They're mostly quotes so far, either from TV shows or books that I love. I have some inspired by Game of Thrones, Alice in Wonderland, Hocus Pocus, and now Coven! I've had a Harry Potter inspired idea floating around in my head for a while but I need some metallic silver and gold thread for that!

  5. Lovely! My crafty endeavors as of late involve masquerade masks and hair pieces. This far outshines anything I've made. ;-) I have been watching AHS and have been very inspired by the opening scenery. It is definitely my favorite of the 3 seasons.

    1. I agree, there are so many dark, haunting and sometimes, disturbing promo images floating around, it's hard not to be inspired by them! It's such an awesome show!

  6. Hello, I am part of a Hallowe'en stitching blog and while searching for photos to illustrate a post called "C is for Coven, Cauldron and Cats" I came across your lovely Coven piece. I haven't copied the photo but have linked to your page so our stitchers can see your work.

Here is the post if you would like to come and see what we do! http://halloweenorniesal.blogspot.co.uk/2014/03/c-is-for-coven-cauldron-and-cats.html
